There were many things said about Damon Dash after his split from business partner and long time friend Jay-Z. People didn't think he could make it on his own. There were rumours of bankruptcy, tax evasion, homes in foreclosure, and on top of this his wife, fashion designer Rachel Roy, filed for divorce early last year.
Dame, however, has brushed the dirt of his shoulder and focused his energies on a more positive project, DD172. This four-story warehouse space, in the middle of upscale Tribeca, is a mecca for the indie creative set. Featuring an office space, art gallery and music studio, this spot is a breeding ground for talent development, a place where innovative minds collaborate in hope of producing something genius. Looks like things are looking up for The Dash.
To learn more about Damon Dash's DD172 read this candid article from The Observer.

Was going to title this photo "Me & my mate Dame", but I am not a very good liar. I just saw him at a club in New York a few years ago, tapped him on the shoulder and asked for a photo. He was cool though.
