LOVER OF COVERS

Australian Harper's Bazaar, featuring my target of eyebrow envy, Bambi Northwood-Blyth.

Vogue Paris June 2010. The enigma that is Kate Moss will never die. She is still a #1 stunner

Vogue Japan July 2010. I love Alexandra Ambrosio, she is a MINX and her hair always looks divine. The more I look at this cover though, I kind of feel like her head is being viced between the O and the U.

BEAUTIFUL BAMBINA

Bambi Northwood-Blyth is Australia's latest love, and with a name like that who wouldn't love you? Some may think her eyebrows are a distraction, but I would kill to trade her for my over-plucked ones.

NO PRETENSE ALLOWED

I went to Santos Party House on my last visit to New York. This is a different kind of club where sneakers and casual getups are preferred. The place was filled with authentic hip hop sounds and I let loose! This is not a place for the pretentious  and superficial, and that is why I loved it so much :)

STRANDED

If I was stranded on a desert island, I would like to look like this:

THE LIGHT LEADS THE WAY

Luzinterruptus, a Spanish design team, use creative light installations in public urban spaces to mentally challenge passersby. In the below installation, 800 books were illuminated and placed on a lone street under the Brooklyn Bridge. They were arranged so that people seeing the intervention could walk amongst the literature and even pick up the books and read them.
"We want literature to seize the streets and become the conqueror of public spaces, freely offering to those who walk by a space free of traffic which for a few hours of the night will succumb to the modest power of the written word" - Luzinterruptus.

TOP KNOT

The Top Knot was recently spotted on the  runways of major fashion labels, such as YSL and Lanvin. Slicked back or messily tied, the top knot is the hair trend of the moment. With little fuss required, this style has become a fast favourite of mine (especially on the days when my hair is dirty and it looks woeful down).
