Hanneli is a style beast. She always gets it right. Double denim can very easily make you look like a farmer from outback Australia if you don't get it right. Hanneli gets it spot on.

Better known as "Downtown's Sweetheart", Va$htie studied directing/cinematography at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. She has directed videos for the likes of Solange (T.O.N.Y.), Kid Cudi (Heaven at Night), Jadakiss ft Faith Evans (Letter to B.I.G.), Justin Bieber (One Love) and many more.
She is also known for throwing the best parties in town. VaShtie and her best friend Oscar Sanchez started a monthly 90's party titled "1992", spinning soley tracks from the early 90's. In 2008 Paper Magazine voted "1992" Best Party at its Nightlife Awards.
After seeing the success of "1992", the legendary Q-Tip asked Vashtie to collaborate on another party venture called OPEN, at Santos in Manhattan. This weekly event is known for having a relaxed, cool vibe and the best DJ line-up. I went there on my last trip to New York and it was my favourite spot by far. I don't think there was a track I heard that made me want to sit down. I sweated my ass off that night!
The thing I really love about Vashtie, besides her creative sensibility, is her style. She is the epitome of tom boy cool meets high fashion. Her unique style mixes vintage and high street finds with high fashion pieces. You can now get a taste of her style yourself with her fashion label VIOLETTE.
Vashtie has been featured in magazines such as: NYLON, Complex, Giant, Paper, Trace and Fader. To learn more about this fly girl/cool kid, go to Va$htie.
Watch this video from the M.I.S.S. TV "Follow the Leader" series to hear Va$htie talk about her personal style.
This is one of my favourite Va$htie videos - "Us Placers" Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West & Pharrell Williams. She shot this video with ZERO budget. Shows that even with limitations, she is a true creative.
